On the one hand, I know that the costs of publishing an ebook are much lower than those involved in producing a paperback or hard-back (as far as I can tell, royalties differ massively, depending on the author's reputation and their contract, among other things), but on the other hand what we're buying is a piece of work which took months, if not years, to create. I think this issue will be discussed for some time to come, but eventually I believe the powers that be will have to introduce some kind of legislative guidance.
