A New Start: Illusio.Net V15

I finally decided that I have had enough of coding and building static sites by hand in Dreamweaver, editing images and thumbnailing in Photoshop, and FTP’ing to the web server.  I bit the bullet and installed WordPress.  I no longer blog on my Live Journal,  and I think my love affair  with LJ (for want of a better description) has finally ended, and were it not for the lovely friends I have there, and the length of time I have had the account, I would close it.

Illusio.net gets so little input from me these days, being solely concerned with my art and my art site, and my writing has virtually ground to a halt,  I decided a fresh new start was in order, hence this installation. The only nod to Illusio.net’s previous incarnation, is that I have retained the banner and colour scheme, as I do rather like them. This was my first ever domain, I have had it since about 2002 and feel it deserves a lot more input, more about me and my writing rather than my art.

I am quite pleased with how easy the installation was and having found a basic theme I can live with (and it was dull to start with believe me), bend, tweak, alter, mess with etc, I am happy, and am quite enjoying the customisation. It’s a testament to my net geekery that I do love playing around with a new interface and tweaking, jigging and customising.  So, lets see how we get on shall we…more anon.
